Our teachers had an opportunity to focus on Social Emotional Learning yesterday during the Teacher Workshop Day. Sessions included information from the Maine Resilience Building Network, York County Community Action, George Conant from Restorative Practices Collaborative of Maine, and SHS staff. Subjects covered were: trauma, Restorative Practices, Circles, Challenge Day, life experiences, poverty, school attendance, and school behavioral data. Special thanks goes out to Nichole Ivey and Marleah Wentworth for supporting us and Director of School Counseling Beth Letourneau for scheduling a great day! Lastly, we need to thank our Life Skills students for the assortment of breads in the morning and Airport Variety for a great lunch! Check out some of the pictures below.
