Pep Rally

Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center was infused with school spirit on Friday as SHS celebrated the final day of Spirit Week for Homecoming and SRTC had their annual Activity Day.  There was a sea of red and white in the building as students and staff showed their #SpartanPride.  From all accounts, it was a great day overall for Sanford!  We packed over 1,000 students into the competition gym for our Pep Rally.  A few photos are posted below and a video of the Senior dance is on the Sanford Spartans Facebook page.

This is a look at the seniors, juniors, and 8th grade in the gym.

This is a look at the sophomores and freshmen.

Our Sanford High School band under the direction of Erica Scarano.

The Homecoming Carnival put on by Student Council and our classes was again a success after school.  The students enjoyed the displays put on by each class, the inflatable obstacle course, dunk tank, and a hot dog or two from Gotta Be Frank who brought their food truck out to the field to support us!

Last night our Sanford High Spartans took on an undefeated Biddeford Tiger football team in a classic battle between two rivals.  Prior to the big game, Dave Eid from WGME 13 was broadcasting live from Alumni Stadium.  Here is a picture of him broadcasting live with our Sanford High Cheerleaders in support.

The video of the Human Tunnel and the Spartans busting through the winning Crash Through is on the Sanford Spartans Facebook page as well.  Here is a couple pictures of our standing room only crowd last night with shots of the jam-packed parking lots.

Lastly, here are some photos of the game and our Homecoming Royalty including the crowning of Homecoming Queen Harrielle Bernard by Grand Marshall Mr. Michael Kane.

What a great week of school spirit and Spartan Pride!  Thank you to all our staff and students for a superb week!
