SHS Daily Announcements 09/18/2019   White Day

Millions of people across the world are going to be striking for climate in September, all with different experiences of the climate crisis.  You can learn more about climate change and the demand for action this Thursday during Spartan Time.  Mrs. Raymond will be showing some short clips about climate change and action, and opportunities to get your voices heard. "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything." -- Albert Einstein

Tranquil Tuesdays are back during Spartan Time.  Sign up for the library on Tuesdays to read.  No school work or computers, just you and a book. Mrs. Raymond is passionate about reading.  She will kick you out of the library if you are not reading during this time :)

Any student who took Miss Dietsch last year needs to pick up their artwork before the end of the week or it will be thrown out.

Random Fact of the Day: In the A McDonald’s in Sedona, Arizona uses turquoise arches instead of golden ones as government officials felt the yellow ones contrasted too much with the area’s scenic red rock.

Life Hacks from your school nurse: Ever have that thing in the back of your throat that makes you want to gag and cough it out? You can instantly get rid of it by scratching your ear. The scratching activates the nerves in the ear which in turn creates a reflux-like reaction, causing a muscle twitch. The muscle twitching in your ear eases the tickle in your throat.
