Register now for Fall Sports. Go to Family ID on the athletic webpage. Deadline is August 12th. Is your physical current for the Fall? Any questions, stop by the Athletic Office

 

CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS

 

 

Sanford High School and Sanford Regional Technical Center support the FOOD BACKPACK PROGRAM. Students receive backpacks full of non-perishable food weekly to take home. We really need backpacks to make this program happen. Please donate NEW or USED backpacks.  Also, if you would like to know more about these resources please see your School Counselor.

 

If you would like to donate New or slightly used Clothing, Shoes, Coats, Hats etc. please see Ms. Williams in Rm A242.

Community Service Opportunities

 

There is a Summer Craft program that runs throughout the summer which provides some volunteer opportunities.  If you are interested in the schedule, please stop by A237 for more information.

 

SkillsUSA needs volunteers to assist at Sanford Mainers baseball games at Goodall Park for the food truck. See Mr Bolduc C-134 if interested.

 

 

Animal Welfare Society is looking for students who would like to schedule various days after school or on the weekends to volunteer with projects around the animals. If interested, please contact Rachel Levasseur @ 985-3244 ext. 121

 

Smitty’s Cinema is holding a Father’s Day Car Party on June 16th and they are looking for volunteers to help out between 7am and 4pm.  If interested, please contact Courtney Taylor @ 207-283-4500.

Random Fact of the Day: About 50% of the dust in your home is dead skin. Dead skin is responsible for about 1 billion tons of dust in the atmosphere.

 

Life Hacks from your school nurse: It's recently been proven that eating chocolate at least 5 times a week can reduce the risk of heart related disease by 60%. There are obviously a lot of downfalls to eating chocolate in big quantities, but it's good to know there are some positives to eating small amounts on a regular basis - shout out to Mrs. Pattershall and Mrs. Smith for keeping my heart healthy!
